Hey folks, I recently dropped my max and really need some spacers for the rear wheels. I ran across these on eBay and was wondering if they would work as well as the H&R's. I'm not sure if quality matters but I would rather pay an extra $50-$100 initially to avoid my wheel falling off or something while I'm on the road. Take a look and let me knwo what you guys think.

it doesn't look bad, so that's about $100, i'm planning on buying 20mm for the rear but the only brand i found were H&R, which i thought would only be at most $119. the spacers have to be EXTREMELY precise though, i'd go for H&R to be on the safe side plus you dont save THAT much i don't think. good luck

Also is 25mm too big if I'm going to kep my stock rims on the car? Should I go with 20mm?

20mm matches perfectly with the fronts i heard. but then again, people put 10mm in the front as well.

i may end up putting 5-10mm spacers in the front too. I just want my wheels to be flush with the side of the car, not sticking out from the body but not stock either. What size should I get?

i got 20 mm H&R for the rears and I'm dropped on H-techs. I think you might be able to squeeze 25mm in there but im not sure. originally i didnt think i needed spacers for the front, but with the drop the gap is more noticable so if I were to get em id go with 10mm in the front. The rear spacers i got for $109 shipped from www.optauto.com.

what about if you have 245/40/18 rubber what spacers you would recomend for the rear wheels.? 10 15 or 5. Thnaks!!!!!!!!!!

well i had my 20mm on 225/50/17 tires (stock rims) and i thought i coulda sqeezed in another 5mm. im gettin new 235/45/17 tires so ill see how the spacers look. with 245, i think 20mm would be pretty close, but id go with 15 to be safe. you can always just measure from the tire to the fender to see how much space you have.

I have 245/40r18's on the way too. Sounds like spacers are needed in the rear for the flush look, but are they needed in the front too?

it all depends on your own taste. IMO, spacers are definately needed in the rear and make the car look 100x better. for the fronts, I would like to get maybe 5 or 10mm spacers but the look i have now suits me fine. its not unbearable like the rear was and isnt as noticable. It also depends on if you're runnning aftermarket rims and what their offset is. All my comments have been based on what ive seen with my stock 17's.

the H&Rs also come with longer studs if the spacer is larger than 10mm or 15mm (not sure which). some other brands dont give you longer studs so you have to buy them seperately. thats another reason why i went with H&R.

check out wheeladaptors on ebay. I bought a set of 4 for $139. a pair of 1inch and a pair of 1.3 inch. I used anti sieze on the back of the spacer because i heard horror stories of people having to chisel thier spacers off.

I purchased a set of the 25mm spacers from Ebay. Only issues were that the threads on the lug were not perfect. Almost as if they had too thick of a coating on them that made it difficult to get the nuts on. They had to be "muscled" on or almost re-tapped. Other than that they are very nice. You'll also need open ended lug nuts as the new studs are quite long and stock nuts are not deep enough. Here's a picture.

you sure the new studs weren't a different size? lol I had to buy some moteki tuner lugs in 12x1.5 (honda size). oh well, it works for you.

I'm certain they were 1.25. About half went on without issue. The other half required encouragement.

be careful ordering those. i ordered the 20mm and got the wrong ones. the spacers fit fine, but the suds were too thin. here is the thread:
