Well, I emailed the ClearMask folks twice to get the name of a local installer. So far (and it's been over a month on the first one), they haven't bothered to respond. So....

I bought a Colgan bra. Any particular tricks on putting this thing on?

Thanks

Let's see if any of the ladies have any advice...

Just kidding... Um, I guess just be careful taking it off and on and make sure that the hood is clean BEFORE putting it on (to avoid sandpapering your paintjob). Also, it might fit kinda tight the first time or two, so just be patient. Good luck

The real trick comes when you can take it off with just one hand, or to really impress them your teeth

I have used bras on an '83 Jetta, '82 280ZX, and a '92 Maxima. I've found it is best to get the bra warm for the first installation. Leave it laying in the sun for a while and it will be much more cooperative when you get ready to put it on. Also, wax the area that will be covered by the bra. I live in the rainy northwest and have not had any serious paint damage from the bras. The minor scratches I've gotten have been removed with poslihing compound.

I've always removed the bra from the car when I washed the car. I usually hung it on the fence and hit it with a strong stream of water to get all the debris off the underside of the bra. I would also rinse the edges of the bra (aroung the wheel wells) as I removed it.

Good luck!

You see?

Now is that really called for? I think not! Shame on you (for beating me to it! )

Cheers!

Looks like the other responses gave some good tips about putting the thing on. Now be sure not to leave it on all the time. I'd recommend using it only for long distance driving. If you leave it on all the time, it will eventually affect your paint.
