Idk wat to buy

Im stuck with a very hard decision, idk whether to buy a fully loaded 2k2 6-speed with only 29K for 17,000 for go with a stock 04 for 19999 i would actually prefer the 5th gen beacuse not only with the payment be lower but it seem they are more popular and have alot less problems, and there are more mods availbile and power is almost the same becuase the 04 wieghs more. Jus wanna see wat u guys have to say

5.5 gen ... But that's just me. When you say "stock" 04, you mean base options?

Go with the 2k2. the 6 speed will not dissappoint. And it's fully loaded w/ low miles? This really is a no brainer.

IMO, 5.5th gens are the best maximas ever. 6sp with only 29k fully loaded is pretty good. I would jump on that. Hey, it was made in japan, not here like the '04s.

How many miles does the 04 have? Is it a 6 spd? What additional options if any? The only thing that would make me think about getting the 04 is the difference in suspension. I own a 5.5th Gen, but I've driven the 6th Gen as a demo when I worked for Nissan. Stock for stock, the 04 handles much better. Performance wise, they are about even. And yes, the 04 Max is notorious for quality and build issues, most of which were addressed in the 05.

definitely the 5.5 gen...they are definitely the nicest maxes ever made (especially the 03 TE) and as mentioned earlier, the 6-speed will not be a disappointment....

ive read 04s have had their problems, but if youre at a toss up id go with the 5.5 gen on looks, although the 6th gen is growing on me, i think the 04 stock is a turn off when you can get a 6spd

The original poster is a

They're both stock, but he mentions
fully loaded 2k2 6-speed with only 29K for 17,000
stock 04 for 19999
is that shyt, they're both stock ... he gives no regard to miles or options on the 6th gen and expects us to give an opinion ... And posts in the 5th gen forum ....

In this case it's all a matter of opinion on looks, or options but we souldn't know that since he did not give any useful information .... StOOpid

So at least be courteous and wait until you have 15 posts instead of hijacking a thread. Or better yet, Google search the answer.

Go with the 2k2 6-spd, i would take that over the 6th gen max anyday. IMO the 6th gen max is way too "LARGE" for me. I like the 5th gen size, its just perfect. 2k2 max 6-spd

2k2, My bro has an 04 and it seems heavy and slow (compared to my 6 spd.) Also, the only way that those look good at all is with the redlinemax front bumper. You dont need to do anyting to the 5.5 gen to make it look good

Although the 6th gen has grown on me a lot lately, I wouldn't pass up that deal on the 2002.

1. Drive both

2. Decide which one YOU like better

3. Buy it.

Why do you care what WE think? The 5th gen guys will say "get a 5th gen" and the 6th gen guys will say "get a 6th gen".....but none of us has to drive your car or make payments on it.

00-03 Maxima won't dissapoint you trust me, I've had mine since new and I got over 120K smiles on mine and I am constantly buying some mods for it. Verrrrry rarely its something that fails on me (brakes, tires or maybe a MAF) that I need to repleace.

6th gen is not a bad car, its got some neat features - like the Elite package with buckets in the rear, and its got IRS.

To me 03 Maxima was the last real Maxima. All the new Nissans look alike, only thing nice they got now is the TRUCKS. I'm planing on possibly getting a Titan once the Nismo SC is avalible so I can add that into my car loan when buying it- 490HP and 475TQ will be nice to have

Buy the 2k2 and you can buy all the stuff I had for my old 2k2 for $650. Includes full Kombat kit, Injen CAI, CustomMaxima strut bar, and chrome anniversary door sills (lt. gray).
