Just to make sure...

been reading on p0138 code and i just want to make sure if i understood it right. the 02 sensor placement reflects the DTC code? (bank 1 sensor 2 = second sensor from left?) my car is a cali spec (4sensors). Just want to make sure if i got it right before i buy the o2 sensor i need. can anyone who've done this clarify this for me? thanks.

Wherever you got the code read should give you a printout (autozone did for me) on printout somewhere it will say something like b2s1 or s1b2. I can't remember which order it was in. But that tells you the bank and sensor number. Install is easy, just replace the one with the same color wire as your replacement. Assuming you got the right replacement

yeah, autozone gave me a printout. what i'm trying to determine is which one is the bank 1 sensor 2. i assume it's the second sensor from the left.

Just call DaveB and order a bank1 sensor2 02 sensor. Whatever color the wire is on the one you get from DaveB, take it off the car and replace. Hold on I'll find the diagram for you.

Clicky - Scroll to post #109. DaveB's (Dave Burnette) number is also on that page. Good Luck.
