please help real quick, remove vent above bose headunit

can someone explain to me real quick how to remove the air vent above the headunit, im trying to replace the audio system and this is the last obsitical in my way of getting the bose **** out!

Who needs air vents?! Just get some pliers and rip it out!

I had this problem too when I was working on my stereo. Well, there aren't any screws holding it in, just a couple clips. You should be able to just firmly, but carefully pull it out.

Yeah I had the same problem I even broke it and had to buy a new one. Just get 2 screw drivers and pry gently from both sides. it might take some force but it should just pop out.

use a flat head screw driver and stick it in the sides and pop it toward you while pulling it toward you with the other hand it will pop out.

Yeah, just lift the base a little upward and pull it on you. That sumamab*tch was a pain to take off. The next pain will be unscrewing the HU from the cage and unclipping the harnesses. Argh!!
