I am doing a test for IMPP that will most likely sell these intakes for the Maxima for a fairly cheap price. This is the same filter I got a Group Deal on a long time ago that paul, gr8bone, and many others had. It produced 1 hp more than the JWT intake. So we will see how it does whenever I get it!

Can you explain how you could accurately dyno a 1 hp difference power? Even two dyno tests back to back could have an error of 1 hp or more.

Russ, don't get me wrong. If you can provide an intake/adaptor that even cheaper then jwt(ie.. <$100) that would be great. But you should try to be more carefull about the claims.

Until Paul can give us some details to review, just flat out stating 1hp gain over JWT, is not accurate.

Even if it only does that exact same thing as the JWT, it would be a good deal.

Yeah I know... 1 HP is statistically insignficant, but we dyno'd back-to-back. His was 1 HP higher, so at least it produced 1 HP higher, not lower. I think the conical hole in the filter produces better flow.

Russ, actually I had the JWT and GR8BONE had the same setup you just purchased.

Yes, Paul is correct and we did do our dyno's on the same dyno machine in the same afternoon.
I have CA emissions since I'm in NY...Paul is yours fed emissions or CA? I think I will put my cone back on for the summer. Can I use a K&N filter cleaner kit to clean my cone?

I'm CA emissions too. It gets easier now, From 2001 on, we are all Cali spec.

You can use that K & N cleaning/recharging kit on generic filters, as long as they are the oil-based filters.
