opinions on buyin a 2k3

so im curently sharing an 00 i30t with my brother but that has gotten old and i want my own car...obv wanting to stick within the max community i spy this 2k3 down the road at a used car / garage lot. its navy blue, fully loaded, and a 6banger to boot. so im thinking i just hit the jackpot... but its got 67 thousand on it, and its been in an accident. the guy told me it had "rear quarter panel damage." the price he told was going to be 12500. this was his first offer at a price and im sure i could squander him down a bunch.
so because its been in a accident
its got 67 thousand on it and
its an 03...what kinda deal should i be hoping to get here?
the cars in great shape visually inside and out. fully loaded
(i havent bought it to my own mechanic to check it out yet altho they tell me everything is good to go) i dont trust that as far as i can throw it.
sorry if this was posted in the wrong spot, i didnt know where to go with it. post your opinions pls

Does this car have a clear title or salvage title?

holy shh... you found a maxima... with a SIX BANGER??!?

you gotta get it... rare find.

have your guy check it out, if everything lines up okay, and theres no frame damage id say thats about a good price, depending on the options.

run a carfax on it.

if it's a clear title and everything seem good than that seem like a good find i think...i got mine recently a 2002 se for like 13g's with 80k miles on it =/ but it still drives like a new car

thats alot of miles for a 03. got mine with a little less than 40,000. 6sp loaded w/hlsd and leather (meridan package). I would never buy a car thats been in an accident...

LOL...never heard someone say "six banger" before...

Get a pressure gauge, make sure the tires are pressurized properly, then take it out on the highway and see if it goes straight with your hands off the wheel. That's a pretty good test to see if there's been frame damage.

That said, I'd want a hell of a deal on a car that had been in an accident before, no matter how minor.
