How to install spark plugs?
Do we have a 2000-2001 spark plug replacement howto? The ones on the instructions post do NOT work... anyone have any others, I saw the 5.5th gen howto, so it should be similar..

ok,ok.
remove the engine cover from the front of the engine. you'll need an allen wrench.
under the cover you'll see the 3 ignition coils. there is a green clip on them.
press down on the green clip until you can remove the harness from the ignition coil. this isn't absolutely necessary, but it'll make it easier.
remove the bolt holding the igntion coil in place. you'll need a 10mm socket.
repeat for the others.
now you can remove the spark plugs and put in the new ones.
now you need to do the ones in the back. you will need a long extension on your ratchet to get to the rear spark plugs. these are far more difficult to change than the fronts. i find it helpful to loosen the throttle cable and set it off to the side. make sure you have one of those claw grab it type tools handy. you'll probably need it. after you loosen the 10mm bolts from the rear ingnition coil, it's easiest to CAREFULLY remove the socket, and reach in with the grab it tool to get them. that is unless you have a magnetic socket. i use the grab it tool to get them started again when i re-install the ignition coils.
be sure to put some anti sieze on the threads of the new plugs.
be sure to gap them too.
better?
edit: and btw, if you're asking how to replace spark plugs, please don't do this job yourself. this might sound harsh, but if you need a write-up on how to change spark plugs, you could easily screw something up. be careful. you don't want to go dropping bolts into your engine.

btw, i don't care if they are gapped at the factory. i'll take the extra 5 seconds to make sure some monkey at the factory gapped them properly.
