Spark Knock Problem

I have had spark knock for some time now and I just took the time to read about it online. Much to my dismay...its a really bad thing to put off fixing. Anyhow, I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar problems with their Max and how they corrected it.

I have switched to premium, but it only occurrs less. It occurs on hot days, long trips, on hils, and at higher RPM on hot days (but still below, say 3k) and there is a noticable sluggishness. I have 96k miles and am planning on replacing the plugs, but am looking for other suggestions.

Would a bad MAF cause knocking and pinging in the engine? I have a 2k2 Maxima SE w/ 65,000. I use nothing but super unleaded and had my fuel injection serviced. It doesn't matter what Brand of gas I use (Cheveron, 76, and Shell), it drives me crazy..... What can I do to remedy this problem?

yes, a bad MAF can cause it. anything that makes your car run lean will cause a ping, as well as bad fuel.
