Any particular reason you gutted it?

From the charts he does have it appears to be about a 10whp gain at certain high rpms and IIRC a pretty big delta from 6k to redline.

You'd have to ask Tilley on what cam combos he's tried when he modified his '00 manifold.
SR20DEN I read through the whole 11 or 12 pages thread of your track time and they are really impressive especially coming from mods that are bolt-on. I know others have asked the question before, but are you getting a IM produced? The IM appears to be the biggest barrier to us getting the most out of the VQ35.

The biggest barrier is the fact that this engine is already efficient. 255 HP with great fuel economy out of a 3.5 is great. I agree for bolt on purposes getting an intake manifold port matched and possibly extrude honed would be great.

You should get right on that.

What does port matched and extrude honed mean? I'm a novice to engine stuff.

i wouldn't spend that much on something that hasnt been proven, but i am willing to spend like $100 to let someone port out my manifold a lil.

i'm talking to this one guy who knows how to port, and he said he could port out my IM for me for cheap if i wanted it done...i just wanted to ask you guys if it was worth porting out the manifold and if so, any good gains. this was the whole point of the thread

I'm willing to pay for something that has proven gains, I hope the Altima's IM works out.
