Anyone w/exp on tranny coolers???

I have an '00 GLE Auto with about 98k miles and the tranny seems to slip from 2-3. When it gets HOT it slips bad from 1-2 and 2-3 and usually won't even go into 3rd. If I pull over and let it sit for about a minute, then it works fine. I'm not sure if the tranny fluid is too hot, something electrical is wrong, b/c when i turn the car off and then on, then it will work, or if my trannys seals, etc are going bad. I don't know much about the MAF or the TCM, but I heard the tranny cooler will help a lot.

Do you guys know the specifications of a tranny cooler I should get: brand, size, fan/no fan, inlet size, etc????

Also could someone post exactly what a MAF sensor does and a TCM does. I read about problems with it and how to change it, but havent read about what actually the symptoms of the car are.

If you think my tranny problem isa the MAF or the TCM please let me know how much it goes for and where u got it.

Thanks alot.
