HVAC bulbs ?
I have used the search function with little info at all as to what bulbs are used in our Maximas HVAC system. I got a burned out bulb in my HEATER selector slider, and that whole red to blue strip (hot to cold) does not light up. I would like to get some brighter bulbs without going to LEDs. Anyone have any idea what these are ? If I can't get some brighter bulbs then I will just go to Nissan any buy the bulbs. Thanx yo.

Mike, they are these odd little bulbs with a plastic base - when I wanted to make them brighter I searched hard for "aftermarket" versions of them, but didn't find ANY (even using the bulb number on the bulb)....they are like 2 bucks each from nissan, and they will probably have to order them for you.....
Or, you could do a little custom LED work, which is not that hard to do in the climate control units (there are threads on it)...

they're the same type of bulbs as what's used behind the gauge cluster. the kinds that you put in and turn and the base has contacts which directly connect to a contact board.
i put LED's in mine, but the space is too small to begin with, so it didn't fit too well. i need to do it again since the LED has gotten loose, so it just blinks all the time.
