BEWARE of Throttle Body Issues!!!

Ok, i have a problem here. I just changed my MAF and plugs. My car idles smoothly for long periods of time. But when i give it some throttle it bogs out and dies. Does the car need to be taken to the dealer to "relearn"? or will the foot pedal ECU reset procedure work?

I just replaced my MAF sensor because I was having high idle issues and then it went out. Now the cars idle is fixed... sort of. It is idling at like 500-600 rpms. Is this normal? Will anything happen if left like this?
I have no SES/CEL light on (did before) and ive performed the idle air relearn more than once.
Just wondering if its an Issue, cuz OP said his was idling low and blew.

What were the symptoms you had? My idle speed seems high (sometimes 900 sometimes 1100). The engine is noisy when in Idle...
I did the ECU reset procedure and the lights went away. Is there anything else I should do for Throttle re-learn? The dealer wants $165 to hook up to computer...
Thanks.

$150 labor to replace the TB is ridiculous. It's held on by 4 bolts and has a couple electrical connectors attached to it. It's 100% accessible, so there's no reason you can't buy a $5 ratchet set and do this yourself.
Also, when installing the TB you are going to want to do the throttle relearn procedure. Look in the stickies at the top of the page for something like "how to reset 2002-2003 ECU" and it's a bunch of pedal pressing and key turning.

I am getting pinging and random 507 codes and my mechanic is going to do a relearn with a Consult this weekend (the pedal dance isn't fixing the slightly high 800-850rpm idle and 507 code). He said that if the relearn doesn't stick, that I may need to replace the TB.

The hard part isn't taking the TB off (though I bet you have fun removing the two coolant lines from the IACV), but changing/calibrating the TPS that gets mounted to the new TB b/c the TPS must be positioned rather exactly so it passes the 2 mil/6 mil shim calibration.
