Nissan Paint evaluation--Looking for answers
I am having Kings Nissan in Cincy look at my paint to determine whether or not I need to be looked at by the "zone" rep. If anybody has done this, could you please note your experience and questions that they asked and other excuses they might have given you to not have it looked at.
I am taking her in tomorrow so I am trying to be prepped for all possible "excuses" that they might have. I purchased in Feb 01 and have 4200 miles on the vehicle since late Feb. Am I going to get the "excessive wear and tear crap"?
I am looking for real experience rather than opinion at this point. I know that each dealer handles this stuff differently, so I am trying to get as much info as possible.
Thanks everyone....

i've done it...
what would you like to know? they will identify and take responsiblity for the bad spot of paint - no problem.. however, I had to walk out and show him additional areas..
they ended up giving me about $380 paint credit (at Nissan dealer) for 3 panels- hood and two fenders. HOWEVER, independantly the body shop gave me a quote of $300 PER PANEL.. or about 700-800 the same area. There was no explanation for the disparity in price and I didnt feel confident they would do a good job if Nissan only paid them 1/2 of what the job was worth. Nissan closed the case because I wouldnt get off the fence about it. but now I have more problems and another meeting soon (the zone rep is VERY busy it seems and takes a month to schedule). I will attempt to reopen the first case and combine it with the second to get the entire car painted..
shoot me some mail at tware@adpub.com if I can help you further.
