Apexi Air Filter

I know you can buy a kit to clean and re-oil a K&N Filter but I'm not sure what can be done for an Apexi filter . Anybody know ?

i beleive the apexi filter is a dry filter. it does not need to be oiled. at least not on a berk intake that a lot of us have. they may have one that's similar to k&n, and needs to be re-oiled.
if this is the case, you can use k&n re-charge kit, i am sure.

Just replace it every year or 25k, whichever comes first. People who think it's expensive, I say, "pennies a day"

Common sense should tell you that the dirt would clog the dry filter media. It can't be washed.

I would replace it every year or 30,000mil depending on the condition of the filter itself, because mine is mounted outside my car i'll be getting a new one probably at the end of the summer because it's pretty dirty now

wow great post.. on your way to the 15th post huh?

Anyways, the reason I got the Apexi is cuz they are dry. I've heard about our MAF sensors fail from people over oiling K&Ns. I have never oiled my K&N panel so I would want to try. It takes the first mistake for the MAF to fail. I read from berk that the Apexi should be replaced every 30K. I vaccum the this every 3k miles when I do my oil change. It's simple, just take a small one and clean out all the debri.
