foul sulfur smell gets inside cabin.

I am pretty sure it is the cat that is malfunctioning, i dont know which one it is though. I changed the rear cat a while ago, so are there 2 cats left in the front? How much is each cat? I had a ses light Po420 which is due to bad cat, since i changed 02 sensors and that didnt do anything. car has 95k miles.

hed definately hear that... you probably have a failed cat or an exhaust leak... im guessing the consensus will be buying headers and/or aftermarket cats.

which would probably be cheaper than a set of cats and install from the dealer

seems you guys dont know all that much about exhaust.
2 pre-cats in the stock y-pipe (aftermarket would fix that)
BewstAdd1ct, why do you need headers?? especially for a 01?
and that still leaves you with the main problem..the main cat. thats between the y-pipe and b-pipe.
mass media, headers AND y-pipe arent gonna fix that

to remove all cats and fix the problem on an 01 - aftermarket y-pipe + high flow cat or straight pipe

nobody needs headers. in fact, i didnt even suggest headers. i just guessed that it would be the general consensus since i really know nothing about aftermarket products for maxima exhaust.

hey... didnt someone already suggest that?

and i also said 'and/or aftermarket cats'

meaning, the consensus might not come to header replacement. thats all.

good try, though

Never said they would.....I just said Headers and y-pipe to be safe just incase it is those....and if it isn't....then you'll have headers and a y-pipe.....

i hear they route the exhaust gasses into the y-pipe and 'what have you' for safe exit at the rear of the vehicle
