5.5 Gen that are Currently Running Axxis Ultimate pads(Step in)
Hey, about 1 month ago i installed all new brake pads on my 02 maxima, They were Axxis Ultimates and since then on the front Rims iam getting abnormal brake dust my rims look gun metal after a couple days of cleaning, is this how all of them are or is there something wrong? thanks
yup
i had them for about 1 month, after 3 days of hard driving my rims were covered with dust, they also squeeked
i switched the fronts to raybestos quiet stops, NO DUSTING and identical stopping characteristics
i still have the axis ultimates on the rear, and after a couple of days you can tell that the front rims are still polished looking, while rears are covered in brake dust
i WOULDNT reccomend these pads

Raybesto Pads are good and Axxis were until alot of us started to have crazy brakedust
I am using the carbotech bobcats and they dust less then stock in my opinion
here is some info on them from their website
Carbotech Bobcat (1521), the much anticipated replacement for our heralded Super Street F. Like our Panther line of compounds, Bobcat is a ceramic based friction material offering practically zero rotor damage. Bobcat offers outstanding performance when cold, very low dusting, and low noise with an excellent initial bite. Friction coefficient is .45 over it’s operating range of ambient temp to 900F. Bobcat is suitable for street, SCCA Solo 2 and Prosolo applications. Bobcat is not recommended for on-track driving schools or club racing. http://www.carbotecheng.com/prod-ct-compounds.htm
