No More Push Starting!!!

Ok, so I finally got my new starter in from Dave B. Put the new unit in in about 1/2 an hour and could not be happier. Fired off w/ no probs first time to my delight. Dave B., for the million and first time, I think I speak for the .org when I say...YOU ARE THE MAN! Everything was handled in a very timely fashion and with the utmost care. That's one part off the mental list and...nevermind how many more to go. Anyways thanks again and here are some pics of the new gem:

Also, if anyone is going through this same BS then here is a link to my writeup (I know I take too much pride in this )

what were your symptoms of poor starter, did the car fail to start completely or just took several times to turn the key to start?

it failed altogether teamed with a bad battery. what are the chances... so the car died in traffic and then would not start. pretty sh*tty. so i had to push the thing into a parking lot and then figure out what was up. Anyways when i would turn the key to crank i would get nothing at all, then i tried crankin the engine while it was already running and i still got nothing. i was pretty sure after this however i wanted to double check so i took it out and got it checked for free at a local discount auto. they confirmed the part was bad so i ordered from daveb and thats where im at now.

The starter is $195 and change I believe but to get the part intially it's $266. Then once he recieves my old unit I will be refunded the difference for the core charge. Shipping took like 3 days.
