from what i have heard the ebay one is not the best of quality. also when you do get one i would strongly recommend hood pins. for the reason that the hood is very light compared to stock and after spending however much money you don't want it to fly up and break.

The OEM ViS CF hoods on Ebay are good. I've owned one. It's 318 for the hood + 150 for shipping...it's gonna cost you 468 at least. CF is expensive but makes the car look different.

What is the point of a CF hood? I understand that it weighs less than traditional sheet metal, but is 20-pounds worth $400 for parts and installation? There are better ways to utilize your money to make your car quicker…or am I missing the point here?
Thanks,

CF hood will not chip the paint like your stock hood will. I highly recomend VIS hoods, I have put alot of miles on mine- no hood pins or anything and everything is kosher. I haven't seen a single paint chip on my hood in the last 70K miles, plus it looks nice and weights around 12-15 lbs vs about 60lbs for the stock.

you're right about no chips in paint, but you gotta worry about crack. I thought I was only one with the issue but I've seen 3 other org member with the same problem as me, when I go to meets pple comes up and say what happened here pointing at where it was started to crack. Also my color of CF faded, some pple think I got it done like that custom. Yes, i got VIS also but it's really crap....I would strongly not recommend anybody from getting CF hood. and about the weight No way in hell CF hood weighs 12-15LBs it's lighter than stock but not 12-15LBS. Soon as I find factory hood for reasonable price I'm jus gonna trash my CF hood.
