Hey, I have some Eibachs that I am getting ready to put on my car (Kev's old one's). The local performance shop quoted me $150 to do it, which doesn't sound too bad, but I would like to do it myself.

I worked at a service station all through high school so I have been pretty confident to do most of my own repairs and mods so far. I have access to a bay and all the tools (including the spring compressor) , I just have never done springs before.

As far as the install goes, what is the level of difficulty? One friend told me that they were a pain to change, but that was on a Ford. I am all for learning as I go, but I don't want to screw myself by getting in too deep. NAd if it is a big hassle and headache, I would just assume pay someone to do it.

What is your advice?
Thanks,

Check out punkdork's post in the How To sticky thread (he was changing his struts). The installation process is the same.

Man, too bad you're not in SoCal because I would totally get together with you to figure some of this stuff out. I just posted a thread yesterday and punkdork gave me some good directions (Thanks) but for a first-timer, it still looks very daunting. Any more help guys? Pics?

BTW, we have some similar interests.

Feel free to email me or aim me if you have questions. You should have at least one person helping you. Air tools and a lift would significantly reduce the time it takes to do springs. I would definately set aside a full day for the install (lunch/beer breaks etc.).
