he was saying that when he turns the highs on, the HIDs stay on...he's used to a single dual filament bulb in which the low beam shuts off when the highs engage, and was just confused about how the 5.5 gen lows stay on with the highs....

I would'nt use a heat gun. You may run into problems of melting the plastic (or even deforming it). Believe me, it's safe being in the oven. Remember, 200-225 degrees is not "very" hot when inside the oven, this is the lowest setting. You just need to get it warm enough to melt the glue and seprerate the housing. If you set the heat more than 300 or so degrees, then your just asking for trouble, depending how long you keep it in there (which should'nt be very long at all before it starts to melt).

While that sounds very tempting, the thought of sending my lights to someone I dont know, not trying to say anything bad about you, would leave me worried as well, plus I could not drive for a couple of days, that would suck. As bad as I want this done, I have waited for three years, guess I have to wait a while longer

By the way, if you lived close, the $50 bucks is a great deal, I would do it in a heart beat.
