done *** shift bushing? step in...
I'm gonna put this thing in later this week, and want to get an idea of what I'm looking at. After just doing a ton of exhaust work, taking off the cat will be no problem...but I do have concerns about the shifter bolts being rusty as hell and snapping off. Any thoughts?
Also, would appreciate if one of you who has done it could post a pic or two of the underside so i can see what I'm tackling before I do it...don't feel like spending all day under the car like I did LAST saturday (ypipe)....

i did it a few weeks ago, it was my first real mod. for you it wont be tooo bad because you said you had that exhaust work done, once you have the cat out and the upper heat shield off the real fun starts... first issue is the flang bolt connecting the old bushing to the shifter linkage, on my car it was all rusted and I dont have a lift so it took FOREVER with seafoam penetrating oil while on my back using hand wrenches (non of my air tools would fit on the flang), i stripped one end of the flang so I bought a new flange and nut at a hardware store.... the next step to removing the old bushing is to remove the 2 mounting bolts which hold it to the frame of the car, DONT BOTHER trying to loosen the bolt, they just spin, go into the cabin of your car and remove the trim around the shifter boot (take it all off if u can to make it easier to work) and drill out (from the top) the 2 bolts... go buy 2 more bolts, washers (which u might need if u drill into that bracket that holds that lower rubber gasket on) and nuts to replace the ones you drill out... put everything back with the new bushing installed, make sure you tighten the flang bolt (the one that attaches to the linkage) first so that the bushing is centered
have fun, let me know if u have any more questions
