Just hoping someone could help me out.

Recently i started hearing this really weird noise.
It happens only when i press on the gas pedal and then release around 2 - 2.5k rpms or if i switch gears at that range. The sound is like a mechanical "trrrrr" for around 1-3 seconds. it gets a LOT worse if im taking a corner. It makes no noise if i just rev it up without putting it in gear....

any idea what it might be? (p.s. i havent changed my tranny oil in a while, and im 500 miles past my oil change and will be getting it done tomorrow. and the only mods i have is intake and y-pipe...)

lol, i have NO idea, but reminds me of a/c compressor failing. does it do it with the a/c off?

 

yup, a/c on or off makes no diff, maybe tranny related??

 

Could it be knocking and pinging?

 

next guess would be motor mounts...

sound like its coming through the floor?

how many miles on it?
