Car still keeps acting up. Anyone else have ideas?

I posted this issue a couple times in the past, this one being the latest.

I tried using gas from a different station and had the car checked for codes (Again) still to no avail.

New Cliffs:
- Recently the car, even when held in 1st gear, would jerk back and forth like it's trying to grab the gear (slip?)
- While cruising, i lose all power for a short period (no lights, A/C turns off, etc). Then resumes
- Though i wasn't able to try a tranny cooler, i doubt this is the problem as the 2 times it happened recently i just pulled out of the garage after it was being parked all day.

Old Cliffs:
- Car jerks, shift's in and out/up and down
- Completely loses power, takes several tries to restart
- From a complete stop, engine dies when accelerating
- No error codes, car is healthily maintained, Nissan reps can't find anything wrong
- Has caused 5 near fatal crashes, might give up Max if can't be fixed

i had a silverado do this to me today, and ive seen if before.

two things... check the connections at the battery terminals VERY well. take them off, clean them, check them again, make sure theyre making good contact. same with the body/engine grounds to the battery...

second, load test the battery. a battery acts kind of like a capacitor for the small amount of AC voltage that an alternator puts out. if it cant hold a charge, that AC voltage will leak and cause modules to do neat ****. this would also explain the no crank. if its intermittent, it can be caused by sulfated plated, usually keeping a voltage up to spec, but miserably failing a load test, and sometimes can be intermittent, like the silverado i had today.

let us know what you find.

Maybe his ecu connection is loose, or he has bad wireing somewhere. It sounds like hes got a short somewhere, did you buy this car new or use, or was it a rebuilt? Definetly check the battery terminals and your grounds, hell maybe try a grounding kit?

How often does it do it? Can it be readily replicated? Have you tried an OBD reader to record what your car is doing?

As always, thanks for the quick and informative responses guys.

BewstAdd1ct, i'll try that later today and hope it fixes the problems. By the way, i said "near fatal". (e.g. almost got run into by a couple of semi's, etc.)

Rob01ski, that's definitely something i can check into. Perhaps not the grounding wires just yet but at least check any visible connections.

mtrai760, i brought it to the dealer twice to have it checked and it was released with a clean bill of health. I can't blame them, the problem is so erratic. I could go weeks without it happening then "snap" there it goes again. I actually tried driving to the dealership once with the problem, but halfway through the car was fine again.

I guess you could also take it that way Sorry for the confusion.

Btw, to answer a previous question. I've owned this car since it had 20 odd miles on it. It's currently at 67k.

Along with checking the terminals at the battery, I would also check the main fuse right on the battery, follow the wiring down to the alternator, and check the grounds themselves.
