I don't think any silence will fit the EVO muffler. Most silencers are made for the "N1" style fart cans.

I don’t have any personal experience, but I heard from many independent sources that it’s the best thing to quiet down the exhaust note when you want to. It can be easily removed any time you need to get max performance out of you max.

Sounds like it could be time for a different setup?

Has anyone tried this? I'd like to know because the greddy is getting annoying.

I second the resonator... I dont have any experience with them on a Max, but my buddy put one on his truck after running open cat and it quieted things down by a large margin.

Just install the longest one possible on your b-pipe.

OK GUYS. I have/had a Greddy Cat back, customaxima, resonated test pipe, and Warpspeed Y pipe. It was loud, like Honda loud. So I got the Cattman B-pipe which has a huge resonator on it. Only problem was that exhaust sections from 4 different companies dont fit perfectly and the Greddy muffler wouldnt fit flush with the Cattman Bpipe flange. I had to have an exhaust shop do some modification to them. The Cattman resonator is like 2X bigger which means no Raspy exuast in mid range and a slightly deeper tone.

My curren set up is WSP Ypipe, Custommaxima Test pipe (replaces cat but throws codes), CATTMAN B PIPE, Greddy muffler. On the down side the Bpipe cost like 2-3 hundred. Its all quality though. If I were you I would consider selling the Greddy and just buying a Cattman catback for the $500. It looks less ricey/stand-out-ish and is high quality. I can try to record how it sounds and email it to you if you want.

You will have to check out a local exhaust shop and see what they can do for you. Most of them carry resonators, but some are better than others. The cheaper you go, the cheaper the welds are going to be.

lmao... good one

dont get me wrong here... i love the greddy set up. the greddy is not coming off for nothing or nobody... or unless i change the resonator.

i checked out that apexi active tail silencer... they do make it in a 115mm size which should fit the greddy muffler. only problem is that its around 140-160 friggin bucks!!!

i think i'll try a cheapo silencer temporarily to see how it works.

Keep us posted...

I'd be interested in finding out how/and which aftermarket silencer will work on the Greddy EVO2 set-up (I have the same). I personally like the sound and power, but, I would like the option of driving low-key to an event like going out to a play, work function, nice dinner, funeral, picking up relatives, etc....

Try bolting on the factory B-pipe. If you were to do a search you'll find that the gains of any catback for an N/A car are slim. The Y-pipe is all you really need and the muffler has a free flow hatch built into it. I dont like being noticed with every honda trying to race me either, but I knew the noise would be there. If you want your cake you have to hear it...err nevermind, I'm drunk.
