For all you peeople that love your Maxima, Especially Me, here some things to do when you wash your Maxima.
1.Always apply cold water first. Then do another wash with warm water. Cold water washes the crap away and warm water protects your surface
2.Use familiar products such as (TurtleWax). This is a optional thing.
3.(By the way) If you use like Paste Wax what happens is when you apply it, the cracks in your maxima such as the seperation of the front and back door or the seperation between the trunk and the back windsheild what will happen is that the wax will go into the cracks and stay there. How to get them out is wait like a week or so after the application. Take a toothpick and scrape all of that **** out. It takes a while. You should wax carefully
4. The sequence in washing is (Cold water, Hot water, apply soap and gently rub all surfaces, wash, dry clean, wax, then for windows use streak free shine formula.)
5. If you have a nose mask on your car, take it off once in a while because crap builds up where the nose mask covers. Take it off and clean it once in a while.
6. Interior atleast once a month, shampoo your carpets and scrub with formula(optional)
7. Never apply pressure to the back windsheild. What happens is if you have a wireless antenna (2000-and beyond models) and defoggers what happens is that the thing starts to scratch.
8. to clean inside back windshield take out the light. (read Maxima owners manual to find out how to take off)
9. clean interior with soft cloth. try to avoid formulas inside. Inless for windows or electronice equipment.
10. Do this atleast 3 times a month or more to get a kick *** car.

- I am a huge maxima lover. i wash mine every saturday (unless raining). And wax it every 2 months.

Get rid of the Turtle Wax, Max's are not turtles in fact most feel they run like a Rabbit. Seriously, try Zainobro's wax and you'll be hooked for life.
