I just received a call from my Nissan dealer. I had called about three small paint chips on the hood of my 2001 AE (gray lustre). The chips are small, but since the car has only 600 miles on it, I could not understand why the chips were there. I wanted information from the dealer on what to do to prevent new chips from occurring .... that's really all. They want to have a specialist look at the paint to see what can be done. They said they have a professional who can touch up the chips. Should I do this? I am afraid the touch up will look more noticeable than the chips. I am more concerned with preventing more chips. Will a frequent waxing or teflon coating help? Thanks
