I saw this for the 350Z...it's a simple peice of aluminum that covers the gap between the front bumper and the top of the radiator, thereby forcing more air to go directly into the radiator. Has anyone thought of making one of these? If not, looks like I have yet another fabrication project on my hands...

No point on the maxima. Our stock cooling system is good until around 500-600 hp.

So it would serve us absolutley no good whatsoever? I am not looking for performance gain, but if it puts less stress on the system, why the heck not?

I'm saying it won't even do that. Our car's cooling system is the envy of almost every ricer out there. Anyone who adds a lot of power wishes they started out with a cooling system like the maxima's. In fact, it's so much so that when I was talking to one of my customers about my car (he's an old-school american muscle drag-racer himself - does 8 second quarters in his Nova) that he actually brought up the fact that my coolant system and lower end were bullet-proof.

I know of a few maximas that have one. As people said already, the stock cooling system is just fine already
