Few Questions on switching radio receiver

Ok i have a kenwood montior receiver thats currently on my 95 max, but want to transfer it to my 02 max....so i have some questions

1. Is the 02 stock reciever plugs the same as it was in the 95-99 bose unit....meaning the connection plugs...the 02 also has the bose unit...

2.ok so if connection is the same will the controls on the steering wheel still work for the new receiver or no.

you will need a new harness for the 02 max.
you can get swi-x adapter to use with steering wheel controls. its made by pacific accessory corporation.
if it's stock bose, there is an amp below the rear deck that power the oem sub, and maybe the speakers. i am not sure how that will come into play.

you could call them or email them to find out? I think it has to do more with when the kenwood HU was manufactured. Was the SWI-X a pretty easy install for most people? I was going through some of the schematics with adding resistors and all, looks exciting, feels like high school electronics class all over again!!! i think thats awesome that they figured out you could keep the trip computer by adding a 47 ohm (i think) resistor.... how would you ever know something like that?

I think I paid $40-50 for my SWI-X...The dash kit was a GXE (close to $100) and the cheap pocket for the hole.
