Need help with under drive pulley.
My car has an underdrive pulley on it.
Is it possible to tighten the stock belt so it wont make slipping noises?
The noises happen just upon start up. Then they go away...
Through a search, I found:
ALTERNATOR & A/C BELT:
GATES, Part# K060408
(41.5" or 1055mm) or
GATES, Part# K060410
(41" 5/8 or 1066mm)
POWER STEERING BELT:
GATES, Part# K040300
(30.75" or 780mm)
Either one of the Alternator + a/c belts will work?
Anyone have a write-up on how to
-replace belt
-tighten belt
Thanks.

And no, you cannot "shorten" the belts... you have to get belts that actually fit.

So am I correctly assuming that they will work on a 2000 maxima since they worked on his 99 ?
Thanks again for the info puppetmaster.
I didnt notice that link to the write up for his 99 install.
