5th gen CV Axles

I know my axles are bad, the question i have is if you can use 4 gen axles for a 5th gen. My brother bought the axles for his car but never used them. There for a 96 AUTO. I have a 2000 Auto. Will both work? There for w/o ABS does it really matter, Cause i have ABS.

I just replaced my axles and the CV boots on both sides. Not sure if the 4th gen will fit. However, it only cost about $50 for a shop to rebuild the axles for you. That's what I did and works fine for the past 2 weeks.
