What are your past issues that carry from car to car.

Everyone usually has issues that carry over from one car to the next. Suspension, tires, exhaust, intake, interior, exterior...etc. For example, my issues have always been suspension/alignment/tire wear with almost every car I've owned.

1985 200sx - lowered and constant tire wear no camber change avail
1990 Acura Legend - not lowered/no real issues, but suspension made noise
1992 Nissan Pickup - not lowered/suspension made noise, essessive rear tire wear.
1992 Accord EX Coupe - lowered 2.75 all around, horrible inner tire wear, no camber correction. blew 2 tires in 1 night because of wear. steering vibration, caster adjustment bolt came completely off almost causing accidents before I figured the issue out.
1993 Acura Legend Coupe - not lowered, bad cv joints, suspension made noise, front tire wear/no camber correction, steering vibration, 18" HP Evo
1997 Maxima SE - no problems, just total....destroyed whole suspension
2003 Maxima SE/TE - lowered on progress, suspension noise, no tire wear, camber off by .05 deg with camber bolt (soon to resolve with 2nd bolt), vibration in steering. 19" Privat Profil

As you can see alot of my issues were with my suspension from car to car. Some had no camber kits available, some were just too expensive for the kits, and others I've tried to fix.

What have been your issues that you've had to deal with over and over again?

applies to nissans only (had senta,240,frontier,g20,j30,i30,max):
1. weak brakes/ warped rotors... except j30
2. steering wheel shimmy... hard to get tires/wheels balanced properly
3. dust covers/boots on shocks/struts separate into onion rings
4. every other auto tranny failed in some way
5. weak oem struts
6. O2 sensors failed way too often (at low mlage cars)
7. body structure too flexy/rattles/noises... except mayby 2000 max

Engine issues:
'86 Dodge Colt- lower bearings and (this killed it) a broken bolt inside the crank case
'87 S-10: blew a 1/2" hole thru the #2 piston. Fixed it and later killed the lower bearings
'94 Mercury Sable: two head gaskets. Stupid 3.8!
'97 Olds. Cutlass Supreme: bad head gasket, bad lower bearings, and a bad ground that caused the battery to die.
'03 Maxima SE: blowing oil pretty bad now. Possibly fried rings or valves.

...I wonder if it has to do with my driving...

i guess modding could be considered a common issue that carries from car to car, although it's not a specifically broken part.

thanks for playing, please play again!

1. Uneven tire wear and vibrations at low highway speeds (yeah, I'm sure they're related).

2. Willingness to pay too much when something breaks (ie when I went to the dealer to fix IACV)

pinging...

Had an 85 Accord which would ping. Bought the Max knowing it had a top-rated engine, yet now I have the annoying low-RPM ping...

'79 Cutlass - Wasn't a 911

'86 Cavalier Z24 - Wasn't a 911...and it WAS a complete POS - sold it for $500 cash w/ just over 120,000 miles on it. I think it went through 3 alternators...t-boning a 4-door behemoth and hitting a dear (which smashed the roof) probably didn't help.

'91 CRX si - Wasn't a 911...but it WAS a great car - 203,000 miles and only replaced the clutch and timing belt once...no other big repairs aside from body work after I woke up one morning and found my driver's side door trashed.

'00 Maxima SE - Isn't an M3...and it's gone through the standard issues (coils, brakes, paint chips) and some dill failing to yield and slamming into the rear left 1/4.

I guess my issue is that I've always been $50-100K short...
