I got my clears from autodynamic and the drivers side rear gets moisture inside from time to time.

So has anyone else experienced this?
will autodynamic sned me a replacement?
has anyone who's had this prob found a fix or cause?
any help would be appreciated since a foggy looking clear corner looks like crap on a nice max!

Go to Home Depot and buy a tube of the clear silicon sealant. It worked well for me. It kept the water out.

i have this on my passenger side clears...
and its been their for weeks...

ive been waiting/hoping for it to evaporate already, but it seems like, the water can go in, but has no way out...

so like, if i put on the silicon sealant w/ the water still in it, is it gonna help, or just make the water permanent..

How about taking them off and taking a hair dryer to them? Then add the silicon after the moisture is gone.

I tried baking one, wrapped in aluminum foil at low temp, to no avail. I'm not sure a hair dryer would do much better.

while we're on the sidemarker topic, let me slip in a question (i like doing that >=D))

do you use white/clear bulbs with your sidemarkers, or the orange/red color combo (assuming you have clears on the front and back)

Well i just had to include this. I bid on the front and rear clear side markers on Ebay from CustomMaxima.com.
THey arrived in a matter of hours after i won. $55 dollars(shipping included) for the set of 4. THey look exponentially better than my home-made ones.
THank you CustomMaxima.com(greg)

Roger
p.s. my car is in the body shop. So i cant show them off yet. BUt i will

radpp16, as a precaution, you may want to hit them with some sealant before installing... I ordered another set of rears and I'll be doing that to ensure nothing gets in.

you can order it some from courtestyparts.com or a local 'rice' shop =)

and, if anyone has an extra front passenger side clear, i'll trade/buy it from you. I have one extra driver side clear to trade/sell.

Blowdrying wont do any good... I've had water in my sidemarkers for the longest & tried everything to get rid of it.. The best solution is to Try shaking the water out... You wont be able to get all of it out but it'll help the water evaporate faster... After shaking, seal it with some silicone.. You wanna go all around the edges & make sure to put enough so it wont leak again... Dry it for about a day..
If it condensates again, repeat everything...

Who makes the best clears?

I notice that we have options for clears now.

1) Autodynamic $34 for the front $25 for the rear. bulbs?

2) Courtesy $40 for front and $40 for rear. Bulbs included for the front, but not the red one's for the rear.

3) CustomMaxima.com $25 for front and $23 for rear. Bulbs included for the front.

4) Ooglie. Very cheap... is it good quality?

Which one is best?

radpp16, if you are asking about the sealant, I picked up some "windshield/boat" sealant at NAPA, for less than $10. Other products may work.

I got my rears through Autodynamic.com, the same place I got the originals. They were ~$32. Originally, way back when, then were $40~$50 (without shipping).

Wow thanks for all the input guys!
Hopefully I can seal it up tonight so it will look good for the meet sunday!

It seems the longer you wait the cheaper you can get parts.

$55 shipped for front and rear is a hot deal!

Do all nissan dealers have the red bulbs? I saw them on www.courtesyparts.com for $12 + shipping. Is that a good price? Anyone found them any cheaper? Does Pep Boys or auto parts stores have them? HMMMMMM
