I have always wanted headers but i think for a few extra hundred dollars i could throw in a 3.5 in my car.

I guess every car is diff as far as A/F goes, mine with headers and every bolt on stays at bout 13.4:1 on my wideband with no corrections what so ever. ECU will adjust gradually over time to a good ALPHA reading- Nissan language for short/long trim fuel ratios. I am not sure how it is on a 3.5L, but my 3.0L makes pretty good power with no adjustments needed- I need to adjust the timing to make full power, but with my current engine build up on my Q45 spending thousands of dollars every week, TS ECU with custom maps will have to wait till I have a car to drive around while the ECU is out at TS.

So like someone stated before, the car will get faster over the week. Is that due to the gradual fuel adjustment?

Yes its due to ECUs self-learn procedure, I am not sure if the AF will be re-adjusted by the ECU or not on the 3.5L. Its would be nice to see how the AF is affected NOW till when it re-adjusts 2-3 weeks from now. Best bet would be to have a wideband installed durring a dyno few weeks from now, that way you will know if its in need of a AF tune. Like sloppymax said, his AF was all wacked on his 3.0L, yet mine is rock solid and I never adjusted it since the headers, since it makes best power at my 13.4:1 AF. Like I said every car reacts differently, there are no 2 cars alike out there- just like humans.

Yes, it does look like that, but it's not. When I pulled the upper radiator hose to remove the radiator fans, some coolant came out.

nice headers. now where is the dyno and how do they hold up to the cattman gen 2 in terms of #s? and how is fitment? if hs produce the same power and fit perfect, i buy them instead of the cattman.

Take a look at the other thread on Hotshot headers by JasonB-something.... Tilley did the install and they did have a couple issues with the Hotshots. Starchild also had his installed and posted his comments.

I don't know about the horsepower gains versus the Cattman headers, but I know fitment is very good on my Hotshots. The only negative thing (not that bad) that I have to say about Hotshot is the gasket they supply for the y-pipe and cat connection is not good. It goes bad almost instantly. Other than that, I am very satisfied in terms of fitment.

You can get em from SCO... just call Steve G. You can also get em directly from Hotshot.
