get a Cattman y-pipe

Or, you might want to get a different flex section installed. That could have an effect.

Some people wrap the flex section in exhaust wrap to quiet it down, but that can also hold in moisture and cause rust (since the Stillen is not stainless steel).

my stillen is making the bees sound also. i was thinking about getting rid of it, but i think you can go to warpspeedperformance.com and get a new flex section to eliminate the buzzZZzzZzz'n. ~$50

No. Go to www.ebay.com and buy a 2.5in THREE PLY flex section. It will be quieter than the Warpspeed or LSS.

Noise comes from the free flow and lack of pre-cats that used to reduce the noise. To get rid of the noise you may need to insulate the Y-pipe... Otherwise, most Y-pipes will have a bit of bee sound to them (those that eliminate pre-cats that is)... I have a Budget Y and it has a bit of bee sound to it...

i actualy haven't done it yet myself, although it will be soon since the sound is pissing me off (it sounds like rustin metal falling off my y pipe). what u would need to do is bring the flex section to a muffler shop and have them cut the old piece and weld on the new one. maybe $50 of labor. tell us how it goes if you decide to go this route, i might just get headers for spring.

the Cattman has NO bees problems....and I have the "old-style" cattman! The "new-style" ones don't have the problem either.

Ha ha, everyone wants to complain about the price of the Cattman, so they buy a cheaper Y-pipe, then they complain about the bee's in the can noise...

once again proving that "you get what you pay for"

cattman stuff is not expensive becaues it's marked up big. It's expensive because they use the best materials, have some of the best R&D, the best fitament, and have great customer service.

I only own 1 Cattman product (which was bought secondhand), but have interacted with Brian several times and done alot of research on his products....so I'm not trying to jock him or anything....

compare those 4 things to the "other" companies and see if they can match up. (Stillen ypipes are not stainless; Budget has fitament problems; Warpspeed...well the whole SFC debaucle soured me on them..)

I'm not saying that. I'm not going to bash on anyone else's product besides saying you often get what you pay for. I have had a warpspeed, it had the bee's in the can sound and did not fit properly. This was almost 5 years ago. Could they have changed by now? Yes, they COULD have, except they still have terrible customer service, and nothing has changed about that. For the rest of them, read Irish's comments. I have also had a Cattman, and despite the price, I will not use one from any other manufacture, hands down.
