Squeaking/Slow windows

My front windows suck on my 5th gen compared to my 4th. My drivers side squeals like heck when i move it and the passenger is just slow as hell. The motor is straining hard to get it up. I have taken the door panels off to see if there was any adjustment but there really is none. Does anyone know what they us to lube the tracks or stop sqeal? Its driving me crazy.

Roll down the window, take some silicone spray and lube the groove\track the glass moves in. Roll the window up\down a few times and repeat. Worked wonders on my old 2000.

... and don't be shy about spraying it down into the channel inside the door.

Just what it says...that's what it says on the can. And yes, it works wonders for sticky and squeaky car windows.

Spray it on the outside of the window first to see if that fixes the symptom.

its water based so it wont hurt tint, streak, or attract more dirt.

How to fix problem of windows rolling up slow and squeaking.

Roll down window
BLUE - Wipe inside both rubber pieces with wet rag.
RED - Run a wet rag in the window track then spray whole thing with silicon spray.

any auto shop such as autozone. it will be over by the WD40. there are many brands that make it. actually WD40 even makes a silicon spray. but make sure it says "silicon spray" on it. you dont want anything petroleum based

I believe there is a way to adjust the flaps on either side of the window.

My driver window was really bad. Someone dropped a ladder on my car, and when the body shop had the car, they had to take the door apart to fix the dent. I told them about the problem with the window. They said they would adjust it when they had it apart.

After I picked up the car, the window was good as new. So they must have adjusted something.

I ended up using a silicone spray w/ teflon from oreily auto and it did a hell of a job. The sqeaks are completely gone and they windows operate much faster. That stuff is the only way to go.
