Squeaking noise goes away when clutch is depressed...

I have a 2k2 6 spd that is making an audible squeaking noise when the car is idling. When you depress the clutch about an inch or less, the noise goes away. Is this a throw-out bearing going bad? Anyone else having this problem?

So is this something that I need to fix soon, or is it normal?

aw dam, i had that problem before. Yea, soon your clutch pedal should get harder....replace asap...once the t/o bearing brakes, i dont think you can go into gear anymore. Its not a fix by yesterday situation but definitely make it your next mod to take care of. Last thing u want is to pay for towing. Is your clutch pedal getting harder? or is it harder to get into gear? T/o bearing goes bad when engagement isnt proper. Either shifting with clutch not fully engaged or something of that nature. If stock setup and hasnt been played wit before, it could be your style of shifting...

Shifting doesn't seem to be much more difficult than before and the clutch is stock. I have driven the car hard on occasion, but I don't have alot of mods. It shouldn't be giving a problem this soon. I will see if I can get by the rest of the year b/c I'm going to trade it in soon.
