installed Super Plasmas....comments/pics

So I just installed my Super Plasmas and I can't say I was really happy with their output. I was looking for something a little bluer to match my headlights. When I bought my car it already had aftermarket headlight bulbs (I have no idea what kind) but they're very white and have a blueish tint. I was told the super plasmas match HIDs very well so I figured they'd match my bluish/whitish headlights too, but in fact, my headlights actually seem whiter/bluer than the fogs. Here's some pics:

Before:

After:

I mean the fogs are definately better than stock but not really what I was hoping for. Anyone know of any other bulbs that will match my headlights better?

looks like you have the the sylvania silverstars for the HL.

if you want to match them, you might want to see what's the K-Rating of your HL and find a fog bulb that matches the rating or somewhat close.

If you want a more whiteish look, buy a set of PIAA Xtreme White's. I am happy with their output. I have HID's, and they match very well.

are these the gtx's? those don't match up as well as the original super plasma, plus it is only suppose to match up with the 5.5 gen hids, not with any other aftermarket headlight bulb. you should probably get the same set for both headlight and foglights. the super plasma gtx's aren't as nice as the og imo.

Only HIDs will match HIDs. That's it.

Our fog light housing is way too tiny to create any output of blue from standard bulbs.

you will not get a close match with two different brands of AM bulbs....it just so happens that at most angles, the super plasmas match our HIDs really well, but that is 4300k HIDs...NO blue invovled, except when they are warming up...there is a difference...

EDIT:

see what i mean? there is not a blue hue...it's white

got it. i was probably thinking of aftermarket 6000k+ HIDs

anyway, i wasnt expecting a perfect match, but i was kinda disappointed. No matter what, the bulbs are still better than stock though...so i kinda got what i wanted.

for PIAA super plasma! They match the stock 2k2 HIDs very nicely....I thought it would come out really blue/purple becuz the tint on the bulb housing is purplish...but they actually come out white! It's great....I can't vouch for super plasma GTX tho....since I have the original super plasmas....

Your headlights look like they are Nokya bulbs. Those bulbs are usually bluish white rather than just white. Why not take them out and see?

I doubt it. I had Nokya bulbs and they were WAY more blue than that.

You're basically looking for a bulb with high quality that tints it blue/purple so that it matches the "color" of HID. Try this:http://www.autolamps-online.com/halogen/index.htm

A lot cheaper yet still OEM quality. PIAA are overpriced.

might be the nighttime, glare, dark alley, or camera, but i just installed some Nokya 7000k fog lights and they look a tad whiter then the stock that's about it. Can anyone see which bulb is the Nokya 7000 and which is the stock? Maybe i'll take a picture in the day tomorrow to show you guys. Wasn't what i expected it. Though i would get a blue light, but oh well.

The drivers side is the Nokya isn't it? It looks a little more white and also no glare so you can tell it's not quite as bright....I didn't even notice the tools all around the drivers side till after I wrote my guess but that's a dead give away haha
