technafit ss lines

i put on the technafit ss lines today, wow let me just tell you, as the sizing goes they are no where near the right size as the stock ones. the metal pice in the middle thats supposed to be cliped in so the lines don't move, is way off. i had to find like a thick peice of rubber tubing and wrap parts of the lines. at first i was like i don't get it why is this happening. and then i finally understood. the size is universal from 89-2003. the desing of the car has changed, but the line size is still offered based on one of the years in the 89-2003 period. i'm not really dissapointed, but still, i'm willing to give technafit my old lines from my 2000 maxima, so they would make a proper size for them. irish44 had a big post about it and i was just hoping that i would get lucky. guess not. techafit needs to change this.

ye, i def liked the rotors, but the lines, like whats up with that, the metal pice in thats between the two endings i'm not sure what its called, is totally wrong from where its supposed to be. i'm tinking about putting on my old likes back. but then i looked at goodriged lines and they don't even have the metal pice in the middle. for now i took a big thick pice of rubber tubbing and wraped the lines in it so the hinges woudn't rip the line aparts.

it does move. Just grease it up. It might take up some strength.

no ****ing way. man are you serious. me and the mechanics were pulling on those little metal piecis mad hard. we coudn't budge them for a minute. how did you ever get them to move. if this is true i'm ready to take them off and start moving them around a bit. it seems that the ruber piece that the metal part sits on refuses to move. what kind of grease can should i use on this. doubt wd-40 would work. also if i do take my lines off again, do i need to bleed the brakes all over. cuase i just bleed them like yestrday.

It took me awhile but, it budge sooner or later. I forgot what can't of lube i used, but i know it wasn't WD40. If you take off your lines you will have to rebleed you're brakes.

i wouldnt 'move' the lines after secured... might cause a banjo bolt to work itself out.

install int he direction you need, torque to spec, make sure it doesnt move...

roll it.
