Well, last Saturday (the 7th), I took my vb out and sent it to Don. I have been without my Max for 5 days now and counting. How come now that I don't have mine, I seem to see all the people in all of the St. Louis area who have a Max and they're flying by me on the highway and it makes me jealous. I should get it back Friday or Saturday at which point I will immediately reinstall it. At least I am getting the time to put on multiple coats of Zaino. And to totally scrub the inside. Still, though, I miss my max and can't wait until I get it back. I hope it all goes well, though because I can't stand to be without it for much longer.

Thanks for listening to me whine!

Hang in there

I had some minor body work done a few weeks ago and missed my Max for most of a week. It made me appreciate it even more. Are you taking pictures of the install?

I don't have a digital camera, but I will with my regular one. I forgot to take pictures of the unistall, but I can use the pictures after installation to point out the tricky parts of the removal.

Rented an Altima for a week... ugh

I was in Seattle last week finding an apartment for my move. While there my job rented me a car. It was an Altima probably only a year or two old. I felt like I was in a VW bug. I hate being in any other car.

I'll be living in Issaquah and working in Bellevue. Not gonna be in Seattle proper. Speaking of which, I went to the aquarium in downtown Seattle and there were some hills there that reminded me of San Francisco. The Altima I was driving was an automatic and I spun the tires a few times on the hills, of course I had it in Drive and not 1st or 2nd. I probably was a little hard on the accelerator, I don't like rolling back on hills, especially in an auto, but still man, those tires had to be crap.

Where in the St Louis area are you? Is there a Maxima org in this area (I'm in southwestern Illinois).

I am literally in St. Louis (west county actually) - about 15 miles west of downtown. There is no organization in our immediate area that I know of. I have heard of some meets in Chicago, but none other than that.

What part of SW illinois? I have friends in the great town of Cape Girardeau. Woo-hoo!

SW Illionis

I'm over near Scott AFB (just off I64), about 25 miles east of the Arch.

That's not too far at all. I have a good friend who lives in Belleville so I'm over that way fairly frequently.
