While giving my car a good cleaning yesterday I made a strange discovery. I have been thinking about getting in on the group deal for the Y-pipes and was reading up on cali versus fed spec cars. My car is a 2000 GXE that I bought in VA back in August of 2000. The car was built in June of 2000. Well sure enough it is a cali spec car. I had always assumed that since it was a 2000 and an east coast car it was a fed spec. Oh well no big deal. I am moving to Monterey, CA next month anyway.

It doesn't matter where the car was made/sold. It depends on the specs from the factory. For example, ALL 2002-2003s are Cali spec, regardless of where they are sold.

I understand that. However, everything I have read here on the forum suggest that all 2000's (not sold in cali) were fed spec and all 2001's were cali spec regardless of where they were sold. I assume that since my car was toward the end of the 2000 model run (built in June) they had already shifted over to the cali spec for all cars.
