Stop 02/03 Foglights From Cracking
All right guys, I was sick and tired of my 02's glass fog lights cracking and breaking from rocks and road debris so heres how I fixed it. I took a piece of Plexiglas and cut it to size, drilled 2 holes, one in the top and one in the bottom, feed the wire into the back of the fog light and twisted the wires off in the back by the fog light bolts. The past 6 months I have not had to replace one fog light again ( I have replaced 3 at $89 a piece! ) if any of you north east guys want to do this before winter I would highly recommend it! If you don't have the time to buy these parts, cut and custom fit them into your fog lights, PM me, I have a couple extras I cut and I will send them to you for $30 (shipping included) with the instructions how to install them! THEY DONT BLOCK OR DILUTE THE FOGLIGHT BEAM AT ALL, THEY ARE CRYSTAL CLEAR! i forget i have them on sometimes.

Plexiglass is a good idea, but the are going to get scratched to s'hit since they are a soft plastic...but I guess it's better than $90 for a new lamp...

mine are both cracked, and one has a hole in it....i'm just going to wait for the funds to buy new foglights, put some 3M clear shields on them, and get HIDs so that it won't heat the housing up as much, therefore they will less likely chance of cracking during the winter

Lamin-X.com is cheaper and easy as pie to install. They even have a pre-cut kit for our foglights that costs around $17+shipping. Also, they have different colors and thicknesses for pretty much any application. Good idea on the plexiglass though.
