I was able to install just the pads on mine. Others have reported their car needed to have the accelerator replaced. It depends on if your car is an early or late 2000 production.

The way you can tell if you can just slap on the pad is to look behind the gas pedal. If there is a squarish metal bracket back there, then you have to cut the bracket or get the new accerelator. Mine did not have this, so I was able to apply the pad with a little tweaking.

No pictures available. But if you search back about 6 months ago, I did a post about it.

just any local parts shop will do. mine is auto and I got both plates for 42 dollars. A lot of sites dun carry razor but momo or watever. I am planning on getting the foot rest plate...but u have to drill it into the floor.

btw, u might wanna get a smaller brake pedal since the 2 pedals are close to each other(auto). I have small on both pedals.

The only notes I have are from when I posted a thread here on maxima.org: I did not have a digital camera at install time so all knowledge was captured in my brain (a small one) or in the post on maxima.org. I guess this falls in line with the knowledge of the Egyptians.

One thing I do not know the answer to is how Razo pedals work, but the AE pedal on an early 2000 Maxima (without the square metal bracket on the back side of the accelerator pedal work) do not work. They should be the same in regards to install procedure.

PM me if you want more info about whether or not your application is a, pretty much, plug-n-play situation or you need to swap out the accelerator pedal assembly.

As mdeal alluded to, if you have a black rectangle plate attached to your accelerator pedal, you've got problems. Mine did and here is a pic - you have to look in the reflection of the mirror I have down to see it, but that's what it is. It should only be a problem for early fleet 2000 models. Anything built March 2000 or before, you probalby have this problem. June 2000 and after, you should be good. In between, you probably have to check.

DooBall - since you have a 2001, it should be easy for you.

Cut it off or get a replacement pedal. blackY2Kmax chose the replacement route.
