The Primary O2 sensors do have to get lengthened. I forgot about that. But all in all, I was pretty pleased with the fitment. For me, the worst was just getting the rear header off. the factory heatshield was a ***** to get off so i could access the header bolts.
Prior to this test fitting, the EGRless headers were special order. I believe the first customer to request them are somewhere in canada. So now, we have setups for w/egr and w/o egr

I need to chime in on thise issue as well.
I have a customer who I put on to maxima.org and Jeff @ Maximum Tuning.
He has a AE 5 spd, and his car is strictly dealer maintained.
He bought Cattman Headers and Exhaust from SCO, and a mess of other parts including brake upgrades and a CF hood.
The car performed great, and looked great too. It was his time to get his maintenance done... 120,000 mile service.
He came in, and boom, my tech calls me over, and says he cant drain the oil...I'm like WTF Y ? The rear bank equal length loop passes right by the oil drain plug and is too tight to get the plug out.(Possibly based on VQ30 in 4th gen era, cause the lower oil pans have side drain;MY00-01 drain out the rear of car;MY02-05 have subframe to space header from drain plug.) (ie. how the hotshot curves in, the cattman curves out.)
I noticed only 3 oxygen sensors, which really stumped me, cause this car is a CA Spec car, which Cattman should know is a 4 oxygen sensor car.(Fed Spec has 3 sensors, last ones made for MY00)
SES came on for a missing oxygen sensor, and when my tech was replacing spark plugs on vehicle, found it under the front AE engine cover.
I had to call up my customer to let him know WTF happened, obviously not a happy camper. I had to stop his maintenance package dead in its tracks, and he started making phone calls to Cattman and Jeff. This situation has gotten out of hand. Please modify these units for correct oxygen sensors in system and the oil drain plug clearance issue.

and for the oil drain plug...i don't think there should be a problem...I mean they do run close to my oil cooler lines...but far from the drain plug itself....mine are gen 1 headers and I doubt gen 2's are drastically different in dimensions....i have a 2k2
I second the oil drain problem on the Cattman Gen2s, drain plug is still removable without a problem- as you still have a LITTLE bit of room left, but DO not try to remove the drain plug on a warm engine or you will burn your hand on the Ypipe. Here are 2 pics of the ones I installed to give you an idea of what it looks like... its a little worse in person than the pics suggest. Little room to work with on the oil drain, Ypipe hitting the floor, incorrectly drilled out header flanges, and problem with extending the 02 sensor wires... all could be solved by buying HS headers.

when we put these in, the drain plug was pretty close, but we still had enough clearance once everything was buttoned up to remove it on the 2k2 max. and for the other 2 O2 sensor holes, the Precat O2s can be illiminated.
willkim, has your CEL or any other warning light came up? Your secondary o2s are disconnected.
and just so you know, we have adjusted the design for the 5th gens to allow more clearance for the drain plug. so future models, wont have this issue. This was the beauty of having willkim at the shop for the test fitment, all the issues we could see have been adjusted so we shouldnt have any fitment issues

Next I used the hole for blue wired B2 S1 sensor for the red wire B2 S2, and will be adding a second bung for blue wire, pre cat or not, and with o2 sim on both downstream O2s I still had a bad reading for heater and monitor, since I have access to CONSULT II. I was expecting more in development esp with CA va Fed Spec vehicles.
I was running Fed Spec converted thanks to Desert Pearl

It was great, but I currently have custom built headers on my car by RJs Custom Piping, and full stainless system. Currently building my turbo setup after prelim measurements and welding together piece by piece until it clears my auto setup.(Thats gonna be another thing down the line.)
