What do you think about a 5th gen in the 6th gen Orange??

I was wondering if anybody knows if anyone has gotten their 5th gen painted the orange color, i think the color from nissan was Burnt Orange that all the 6th gens came in, (except for 2006 because i looked on nissans webpage and it wasnt available) I think this would be intresting, but im wondering if there are any pics or if anybody has done this, i have a black/black 01, i realize its a lot of money to actually CHANGE the color of the car instead of just getting a respray but i'd like to see it done first.. I was thinking it would look pretty good keeping the black tails and tinting the windows, although the 2k2+ SE tails would look good too.. hmm ok thanks for any input

The color i'm talking about

Thats the color, not like you guys dont know what it looks like, but just to give you a better look at it so you dont have to go searching around to see it. I cant find any pics of it on a 5th gen, so i think it would be original...

It's been done. Don't remember the guy's name.

Actually no...it was done in Liquid Copper -- the Infiniti FX35 color.

Brunoma, can't find a pic of his car...look him up in the members' directory. He has since sold his car. EdgeX is planning on doing this next year with the JDubs body kit...should be really nice.

Yeah it does look good, thanks a lot- now that IS a different color than they painted the 6th gen maximas right? I think it came on the sentra, quest and murano too, its a little bit lighter than liquid copper. Am I wrong or does Infiniti just use a different version? I'm asking cause im wondering how i'd get the correct paint code

if you're looking at that color, I prefer the similar shade that Housecor photoshopped:

Copper Sunset

^^^ see that to me doesnt look right. i cant picture that color on a stock max. for some reason, it just looks out of place. on a modded max, like pictures above, or even a clean max, like whiteM3guy's, would look really nice in that color.

I'll admit, the "Copper Sunset" I made up doesn't flow without more aggressive rims to complete the look. I did this more to try a trick I learned in photoshop and posted the shot simply because the effect came out halfway convincing. Now that orange color I posted looks horrid in retrospect.
