2003 SE with 18" ride quality?

I know that this is more of a wheel/tire question but it is strictly related to the "SE" model on the 5.5 Gen.

For those of you with STOCK suspension who have done it - when you go from 17 to 18" wheels - how much does the ride suffer. I ma looking at a setup with Toyo Proxes 4 tires. Would the ride be much worse than the stock 17 wheels ride? The "SE" does not provide the smoothest ride when stock, so i need to know if the 18" will make it a truck.
Car will be driven mostly on California highways and around town....on relatively smooth roads.

Thanks for any opinions.

it is ok for me on smooth road with Tein H lowered, Illumina set on 2, but for the NYC bump and pot-hole, no way.

I have stock susp on 18's. The ride is a little bit harsher than before. You will feel more bumps and imperfections in the road. Make sure you get lightweight 18's.

If you are in cali, you should be good. I am in jersey with teh suXX0r roads.

I couldn't tell the difference between 17" and 18" on my SE when I changed them. I got Kumho Ecsta Supra, some people say they're rough but I don't think so. Maybe I haven't tried other ones that's why I say so.

The ride will be rougher due to the lower profile of the tire. Less cushin' for the pushin'. Also, I experienced increased road noise. I had the Toyo FZ4's.
