at malfunction

at malfunction

does the at check light on the 5.5 gen tell if the tranny is slipping? and when i bring it to the dealer tommorow wut should i say? the light does as it should at start up, but i think there is slippin or somethin with my auto. when i from a coast step on it, the tach and car accel then really accel like it should. is it me or somethin?

The CEL doesn't say if there is a mechanical problem with the tranny. Just tell them to drive it.

Dumb question: does it accellerate OK, and then really kick in around 4-4,500 rpms? If so, that's what it's supposed to do. You have a secondary intake that kicks in then.

like i rev it and then it catches itself.. is auto tranny problems big in the 3.5L?

Ya. Mine died at 103k. Others have died sooner.
