For the price of new fog lights, why not just buy a 3000k HID kit?

check out piaa's lineup...you can check out the link in my signature...just installed a set of 5000k's. it was a simple swap, no modding neccessary and what a difference it made.

i checked out your car domain site.. you changed your started and have an '00. did you do this because you had similar problems to me? by this i mean, when you start the car it goes up to about 1-2 k rpms and then goes back down and depending on whether its been run in a while, or its morning, or for whatever reason it shuts the car right back off, except the electric of course leaving you to start your car up again and press the gas to make sure it doesnt shut back off...

ive been having this problem since i bought the car and had it looked at but the problem still hasnt been corrected.

No, my problem was that when I turned the key I would not even hear the engine try to turn over. However, I could push start the car and it would run fine after that. Classic tell tale sign of a bad starter...your car is starting and then shutting off which is pointing me in a different direction than the starter itself. Do you have any sort of electronic equipment in your car...something that may be causing some sort of power draw? Usually when your car is idling high like that, this is because the alternator is recieving a large power draw. Anything you put in your car could possibly do this (electronic)...even an alarm system when installed wrong. If your car won't run higher than around 3k rpm than I would say it sounds like your MAF is gone. It sounds like you were just describing idle though. Any which way, I am by no means a mechanic or techie when it comes to the engine bay, but I am pretty confident telling you that your starter is not the problem.
