First long road trip W/ codes(o2 sim problem)

Well, for thanksgiving my girlfriend and I decided to go visit my parents in N. Carolina. This is the longest road trip I have taken my car on and I was a little dissapointed when, at approx. 200 miles, my SES light came on. Not familiar with the area, I continued down to Virginia to stay with a friend. I found an autozone in the area, and pulled P1147 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Maximum Voltage Monitoring (Bank 1) and P1167 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 2 Maximum Voltage Monitoring (Bank 2). These were stored in there twice. Now with my headers, I have both secondary O2 sensors tied to the side of the engine bay, with an O2 simulator sending the signal to the ecm. Has anyone else had a problem with these codes, in my situation, or had an o2 simulator fail on them?

Thanks everyone, and have a safe and happy Thanksgiving,

James

the previous owner poorly located the o2 sensors and the wiring routing wasnt so great, and i occasionally get heater faults. follow the harness, look for damaged wiring and look closely at the subframe just ot the rear of the cat (where the o2 sensors probably are, yea), and check for chafing or melting.
