I currently have a 4th gen, looking to buy a 5th gen soon. Curious on what year you would recommend purchasing. What year would be known as the best 5th gen in everyone's opinions?

again, this is going to be a bias thingy haha but since i've only tried the 5.5 gen i like it a lot...i don't know i just like the fact it got more power and hid headlights =P

drive em both and make the decision. people with 3.0s are biased the same way as the guys with the 3.5s. the seats in the 02+>over 00-01 though.

 

5.0 – a bit higher reliability, higher potential HP, lower theft rate.
5.5 – more stock HP, better looks.

For 5.0 2001 version turns out to be more reliable, for 5.5 it’s 2003.

Every week there is a thread with EXACTLY the same questions. You don’t even need to search, take a look a couple of pages back. No offence but I’m getting tired.
